Apply to the RedLine AiR Program
RedLine’s AIR application process is now OPEN!
Apply now! Application deadline is July 27, 2018. Selections are made early August.
The program begins Sept 1, 2018.
RedLine promotes the creative expression of artists in various disciplines through active and collaborative engagement. The mission of RedLine, is to act as an incubator for (emerging to established) artists while simultaneously providing a vibrant gathering place for the community. A unique cultural doorway to the neighborhood will open through education, the process of printmaking, and exhibitions for the city of Milwaukee’s diverse communities.
There will be approximately 12 to 16 artists at any given time who will remain “in residence” for a two year period. In addition to affordable studio space and art facilities, the artists in residence are paired with another in the program as a means of creative collaboration and mentoring.
Interactivity is a core element at RedLine: artists will engage in healthy art criticism and vibrant debate as they grow together as a community of artists within the larger community of Milwaukee. Artists will have the ability to participate in various educational forums, which will allow them to learn new techniques and to hone their existing skills. Resident Artists will be chosen by a committee and will sign an agreement detailing their residency responsibilities. An equitable selection process will determine participation in the Artists-in-Residence Program. RedLine is an equal opportunity organization. Discrimination because of race, ethnicity, sex, religion, disability, or sexual orientation is prohibited. Writers and poets are welcome to apply.
