Dear Friends of RedLine Milwaukee,
The New Year brings with it a time of reflection and planning for future opportunities.
Since its inception in 2009, RedLine has developed a national reputation. Beginning at a time when there was nothing like it in Milwaukee, RedLine continues to exceed its goals of artistic professional development, access to art and creating social justice dialogue.
The last decade presented many wonderful RedLine highlights, including:
Being home to over one hundred artists moving forward in their careers through the Artist-in-Residence program
Providing critical dialog about culture and society to thousands of school-aged children and college students
Engaging hundreds of local artists in life-long studio learning through printshop out- reach classes
Bringing internationally recognized artists and their artwork to Milwaukee, including: Tomas Vu Daniel, Justin Cooper, Nathanial Donnett, Heimo Wallner, Willie Birch, JoAn- na Poehlmann and Terese Agnew, among others.
Additionally, RedLine’s forward thinking paved the way for the next generation of statewide arts incubators.
After reflecting on the last ten years of work we say THANK YOU! Your commitment to Red- Line Milwaukee has made it possible to accomplish all of the above mentioned goals and more. And now, with these goals completed, it is time for us to move on to new opportunities. We are announcing at the milestone of our 10th anniversary in July 2019, Redline Milwaukee will conclude its programing.
Again, thank you for helping RedLine Milwaukee change our city’s creative landscape.
